Maybe repeating the same patterns, shutting down, avoiding things, overthinking, reacting emotionally or simply feeling lost in who they are and where they fit.
They don’t have to navigate it all alone.
Coaching and mentoring provides young people with a safe, supportive space to better understand themselves, build confidence, develop emotional awareness and learn practical ways to handle life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience.
Every young person is different — which is why sessions are personalised to meet them where they are at.
Meet Your Coach
Hi, I’m Mel.
I’m a youth life coach, mentor, teacher and mum, with a deep passion for supporting young people through the complexities of growing up.
After spending over a decade in education and many years raising my own children, I see how many young people struggle silently — not because something is “wrong” with them, but because they lack the tools to understand themselves.
I am an educator at heart and love sharing my passion for learning. Also trained in life coaching and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), I’ve spent years supporting young people through the real, messy and meaningful moments of growing up. My sessions are warm, supportive and grounded in hope, connection and genuine care. I listen deeply to the challenges and needs of young people (usually aged 10+) to feel seen, understood and more confident in who they are and who they want to become.

What I love to do…
Coaching and mentoring is about supporting young people to better understand who they are and how they move through the world.
I work with teens, young adults and families to explore what is working in their world, where their challenges lie, and what support may help them move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Sessions are personalised and structured around the needs of the individual, with a focus on wellbeing, self-awareness and navigating everyday life more effectively.
Through supportive conversations, reflection and practical tools, I help young people to:
Understand their thoughts and emotions
Build confidence and self-belief
Navigate friendships and relationships
Manage stress, overwhelm, anxiety and anger
Make decisions that align with their values and goals
Work through study and school challenges
Develop motivation and a clearer sense of direction
Build resilience and emotional awareness
Feel more confident about the future…and much more.
This work isn’t about fixing or changing young people. It’s about helping them understand themselves more deeply, trust their voice and move forward with greater confidence and self-belief.
